Film as Work

I work with filmmakers to develop films as works.

Not through conventional dramaturgy,
but through structure, composition and inner coherence.

A film becomes a work when everything in it follows one inner necessity
and when an idea becomes experience for the viewer.

Beyond Dramaturgy

‍ Dramaturgy organizes events.
A work does something else.
It organizes itself from within.

The question is not only what happens next,
but what the film is — as a whole.

This requires a different way of thinking.

Work Consulting

I support directors and writers in developing their projects as works.

This includes:

  • identifying what the film is essentially about

  • clarifying its inner structure

  • shaping a precise and distinctive form

  • working beyond standard narrative patterns

The focus is not on improving a script —
but on the emergence of the work.

I usually work through focused conversations on concrete projects.

In the Context of AI

AI can generate and organize narrative.

But it does not create works.

This shifts the role of the filmmaker.

The question of the work becomes central.
